Come up for a fun spring day or weekend at Snow Summit and Bear Mountain. Clear blue skies are forecast all week long, so grab your favorite hoodie and some sunblock and we'll see you on the slopes! Yesterday's 6 inches of fresh snow brought our season snowfall total to 101-122 inches! With all the snow we've received this March, we have excellent coverage and a deep base that will keep us open well into April.

Snow- We Have Plenty of It!

• Despite the lack of snow in other California regions, Big Bear has been fortunate with snowmaking and early season snowfalls providing snow depths of 1-3 feet, very good snow coverage and nearly 100% open runs- that's almost 438 skiable acres!
  

Happy New Year 2012

This is the last post for 2011. The ski resorts have great conditions. 2-3 ft of hard pack in the morning softening in the afternoon. Big Bear has been seeing warm temperatures during the day in the low 60's to the 20's at night. This makes for a great day of skiing and riding. Hope to see you in the up in coming new year. SNOW IN BIG BEAR

For those of you that were lucky to arrive in Big Bear for the weekend of November 4, 2011, Big Bear received its first snow fall of the season. Snow Summit is gearing up to open November 9, 2011 2 weeks ahead of its annual opening over Thanksgiving weekend. More storms arriving this week so come up and enjoy the early season conditions before the crowds arrive. All roads are open there may be some restrictions so check before you depart. See you at the Lodge or on the Mountain.

Snow In The Forecast!

The storm has moved into Big Bear. It has started a little wet but the forecast calls for snow by mid-morning. With more snowfall in this week's forecast, this holiday weekend is sure to be a winter wonderland. Trade the sunglasses for goggles and get out your warm winter coat, then pack your gear and your tire chains, and come take advantage of the fresh powder. Arrive early for the 3-day weekend and plan for an amazing snowy vacation.

Great Snow Conditions in Big Bear Lake

Don't miss out on the great mid winter snow conditions. Both Snow Summit and Bear Mountain are 100% in full operations with all runs open. Even though Highway 330 is closed there is still 3 routes open and available for your travel. Highway 18 through Crestline/Lake Arrowhead, Highway 18 through Lucerene Valley and Highway 38 through Redlands/Mentone. Big Bear Lake

Come to Big Bear before the crowds start arriving over the Christmas and New Year Holiday. The Resorts are maintaining their coverage with Snow Summit at 80% open and Bear Mountain/The Park at 50% open. Enjoy the lodging and lift tickets at lower rates, starting December 17 lodging and lift tickets go to peak rates. So you don't ski or ride there is still plenty to do. Shop, hike, horseback riding, and more or just come and relax and enjoy the clean air and serenity of Big Bear.
