Happy New Year 2012

This is the last post for 2011. The ski resorts have great conditions. 2-3 ft of hard pack in the morning softening in the afternoon. Big Bear has been seeing warm temperatures during the day in the low 60's to the 20's at night. This makes for a great day of skiing and riding. Hope to see you in the up in coming new year. SNOW IN BIG BEAR

For those of you that were lucky to arrive in Big Bear for the weekend of November 4, 2011, Big Bear received its first snow fall of the season. Snow Summit is gearing up to open November 9, 2011 2 weeks ahead of its annual opening over Thanksgiving weekend. More storms arriving this week so come up and enjoy the early season conditions before the crowds arrive. All roads are open there may be some restrictions so check before you depart. See you at the Lodge or on the Mountain.

Snow In The Forecast!


The storm has moved into Big Bear. It has started a little wet but the forecast calls for snow by mid-morning. With more snowfall in this week's forecast, this holiday weekend is sure to be a winter wonderland. Trade the sunglasses for goggles and get out your warm winter coat, then pack your gear and your tire chains, and come take advantage of the fresh powder. Arrive early for the 3-day weekend and plan for an amazing snowy vacation.
